David Clancy HC BSc MSc 

David has been in the field of sports medicine, physiotherapy and performance support for over 15 years. A physiotherapy background and MSc Sports Medicine paved the way into high performance sport, private practice and Isokinetic Medical Group in Harley St., London. He was the European Head of Medical Care and Performance Services for the Brooklyn Nets and the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA. David held a research position in Royal College Surgeons Ireland, and is a faculty member of Florida International University. Teams/ Orgs that he has worked with include Aston Villa FC, Red Bull APC, Isokinetic Medical Group, Maccabi GB, Houston Texans, and UCD AFC. He has had articles published in peer-reviewed sports medicine publications, presented at international conferences and is an editor for the upcoming Elsevier book titled "The Essential Skills for Physiotherapists: a personal and professional development framework".

He is the founder of ‘The Learning Physiotherapist’, an online learning and mentoring platform that focuses on soft skills development, career road mapping, mentoring and coaching. David has been engaged in recruitment and headhunting for teams in North America, Africa and Europe, across several sports with The Nxt Level Group. David has experience in the corporate and pro sport world of organisational design, programme ideation and iteration, implementation and follow-up with Hauora Ltd, a performance wellbeing growth partner that works with high performance organisations in business and sport. He is the founder and co-host of the podcast ‘Sleep Eat Perform Repeat’, which focuses on high performance. David writes regularly and has had opinion articles published in The Times (UK) and The Limerick Leader. David is an alumnus of Common Purpose, High Flow Coaching with the Flow Research Collective - and is passionate about all things learning and development. He is accredited as a Spotlight practitioner which looks at adaptability, mindset, and behavioural styles for individuals and teams. He is happily married and has two children. He lives in Dublin, Ireland - and is an advocate for Down Syndrome.

Ciaran Dunne PGDip BSc MSc

Ciaran is an advanced physiotherapist specialising in MSK, sports medicine, orthopaedics and major trauma. He has an extensive background and experience in inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy care. He has excelled in a range of settings from Orthopaedic Team Lead in the NHS, to acting senior physiotherapist in leading Private Hospitals in Ireland and in sports medicine physiotherapy with an array of professional teams in the UK including English Premier League clubs. He utilises strong deduction and reasoning skills, evidence-based medicine and research to inform his practice. He has a particular interest in behaviour change and management - currently completing a post graduate programme in Leadership for education, sport and business to add value to all his clients.

Ciaran has experience in elite sporting level both as an inter-county football player and a clinician. Both of which has afforded him insights into the demands and cultures of high performance sporting environments. Ciaran recently completed the GPA Madden Leadership programme in association with Maynooth University. Ciaran is a co-founder of Hauora and co-hosts ‘Sleep Eat Perform Repeat'. He lives in Dublin, Ireland with his family.

Matthew Bruno 

Matthew is an experienced physiotherapist with clinical interests in the areas of MSK, Orthopaedics and patient education. He has experience across a range of settings, from inpatient Orthopaedics, to consulting for teams and individuals competing at elite levels of competition in their chosen sport. He is currently working in the private musculoskeletal sector with both athletic and non-athletic populations, utilising evidence-based approaches to positively impact his clients. Matt is also a clinical supervisor for tertiary physiotherapy students across various universities in Melbourne and is a recognised student mentor within the Faculty of MDHS at the University of Melbourne. He is a contributing author to the upcoming Elsevier book which is titled “The Essential Skills for Physiotherapists: a personal and professional development framework”. Matt has personal experience in competing at State and National level competitions across multiple sports, which has yielded great transference into a clinical setting in a number of ways. He is an Alumni of the University of Melbourne, and is passionate about personal development, always learning from every experience. He is a founding member of ‘The Learning Physiotherapist’ and is a strong advocate for the impact the program can create both personally and professionally. Matt lives in Melbourne with his wife, daughter and two Labradors.

Ana Mali 

Ana is a qualified physiotherapist and kinesiologist. She graduated from the Faculty of Sport in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with study exchange programmes in Norway (NIH) and the USA (Baylor University). She completed her MSc degree in Scotland at QMU in Edinburgh. Her interests are MSK, Orthopaedics, High Performance and Sport, preventive care of athletic injuries and recovery, research, and areas of Female Health and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
During her postgrad years, she was actively involved in anatomy cadaver teaching sessions as a lab demonstrator for PT students. In addition, she was International Relations student Representative at ER-WCPT and an active member of the Student Committee for CSP in the UK. Ana has gained extensive work experience in the public and private sectors, working with athletic and non-athletic populations in Slovenia, Scotland, England and Bahrain. She has also worked at football camps and competitions with EUAFC, Scottish Student Football Men’s National Squad, and at Gothia Cup.Previously, Ana was a two-time best case report contest finalist at the Isokinetic Medical Group Conference at Wembley and Lyon. She has spent time working in Isokinetic London as an intern. Currently, Ana works with the Slovenian national women’s alpine ski team including the international World Championships, World Cup Finals and 2022 Winter Olympics. Since December 2022, she has been recognised as a Reference Expert for sports physiotherapy and sports kinesiology with Slovenian Olympic Committee.
In the past, Ana trained and competed in handball and dance (hip-hop), including hip-hop battles. Now she continues her passion for sport and “art” with salsa classes, spends time in nature, hiking or biking and loves car karaoke on her way to work or groceries. :) She lives in Slovenia, where she enjoys time with her family in Ajdovščina (Vipava Valley) and a small village close to Kranj.

Paul Stevens 

Paul is an experienced Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in MSK, Primary Care, and Strength and Conditioning. He has worked within several sectors throughout his career including the British Military/Ministry of Defence, Elite Sport, the private sector, the occupational health sector and Public Healthcare. He is currently splitting his time between the British Military, Occupational Health, and Private Practice. He is a strong advocate for behaviour change, effective communication, work-life balance, and ensuring his clinical approach is holistic, in addition to having a strong clinical skill set. In recent years he has become a founding member of ‘The Learning Physiotherapist’. This has sparked a passion to provide mentorship to peers that are keen to expand their personal and
professional skills. He has recently contributed a chapter, with fellow founding TLP member Matt Bruno, to the upcoming Elsevier book ‘The Essential Skills for Physiotherapists: a personal and professional development framework’.
He passionately pursues being a lifelong learner, is dedicated to continually enhancing his clinical practice through continued professional development, and is a strong advocate for evidence-based practice. Daily physical activity is a non-negotiable habit for Paul. He now conducts most of his physical activities within a gym setting, focusing on powerlifting, but competed in martial arts in his younger years. In addition to powerlifting, he also enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his family. His strongest motivating driver in life is his wife and young daughter. He lives in the north of England in Cheshire.
